About Forreston State Bank

Our History

For generations, Forreston State Bank has been a premier locally owned financial institution. Since 1887, we have taken great pride serving communities in Northern Illinois. Headquartered in Forreston, Illinois, we are a member of High Point Financial Services, Inc. Forreston State Bank has had continued growth and continues to serve and grow within the communities we serve today.  

In 1998, Highpoint Financial Services, Inc. purchased Kent Bank with locations in Kent and Freeport Illinois.  Kent Bank served Stephenson and Jo Daviess Counties since 1923.  Kent Bank’s Freeport office was built in 1992.

In November 2014, Kent Bank and Forreston State Bank merged. Forreston State Bank now has three locations with our main office located at 200 Main Street at the corner of Walnut and Main in the business district of Forreston, Illinois.  Our branches are located at 996 W. Fairview Road at the intersection of Route 26 North and Fairview Road 2 minutes outside of Freeport, Illinois and at 717 N. Kent Road in Kent, Illinois.
